The Status Quo

There are times when competitive math can get really competitive, and the barriers to entry are high. To perform in a given contest, it is often necessary to possess years of experience, months of targeted practice, and a great deal of luck on the day itself. Understandably, this status quo can be off-putting to interested students who are just starting out.

Secrets Revealed

Before my experience becomes too dated to be relevant to the current batch of competing mathletes, I'd like to share some of the things I've learned, and some of the practices I'd picked up. I'm doing this series in the hopes that new and aspiring mathletes will be a bit more informed about the fulfilling journey they're about to embark on.
